AWS Pricing Updates

In a recent development, AWS has once again reduced its pricing, eliminating inbound data transfer fees and lowering outbound data transfer costs for all services, including Amazon CloudFront. This is part of our ongoing commitment to drive down costs and pass those savings on to our customers. Since 2008, AWS has implemented numerous price reductions, reflecting our dedication to providing value.

Global Expansion

AWS’s global footprint continues to expand, with the introduction of an Amazon CloudFront and Route 53 edge location in Stockholm, Sweden. This marks our 19th edge location worldwide and the sixth in Europe. There’s nothing you need to adjust in your applications; requests will be intelligently routed based on latency, ensuring optimal performance.

CloudFront Enhancements

In another exciting update, we’ve enhanced CloudFront support within the AWS Management Console. This includes new features such as custom origins for distributions, exclusively HTTPS access, and the ability to set a default root object. These improvements were made to streamline user experience and enhance functionality.

Live Streaming with AWS

For those interested in live streaming, you can now broadcast audio or video using AWS in conjunction with Adobe Flash Media Server through a cost-effective model. This integration utilizes Amazon EC2, CloudFront, and Route 53, all easily configured via a single CloudFormation template. The signup and setup process has been simplified to make it accessible for all.
