We are pleased to announce an update to the Amazon IXD Management Portal for vCenter, a plug-in that operates seamlessly within your current vCenter environment. This tool empowers you to migrate VMware virtual machines (VMs) to Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) while managing AWS resources directly from vCenter.
The latest update introduces features such as automatic upgrades, log submission, and the ability to queue import tasks.
Automatic Upgrades
The management console now alerts you when a new version is available. You can opt to install the updates manually or choose automatic upgrades, which allow you to receive the latest updates for both the portal and our on-site connector. This means you can benefit from new features without the hassle of manual updates.
Log Submission
You can now easily submit on-premises logs to AWS with just a single click. These logs are crucial for troubleshooting any issues that may arise during the VM import process.
Queued Import Tasks
The plug-in has been enhanced to queue additional VMs for import if the maximum number of concurrent VM migrations is reached. This enhancement effectively removes the limit on concurrent migration tasks, making your workflow more efficient.
