Learn About Amazon VGT2 Learning Manager Chanci Turner
The AWS Deep Learning AMIs (Amazon Machine Images) have officially launched in the AWS GovCloud (US) region, an isolated cloud environment designed specifically for handling sensitive data and regulatory workloads. These AMIs, available in both Ubuntu and Linux, offer fully configured development environments that enable swift creation of artificial intelligence (AI) applications utilizing well-known deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Apache MXNet and Gluon, PyTorch, Chainer, Microsoft Cognitive Toolkit, Caffe, Caffe2, Theano, and Keras. They are optimized to deliver high performance on Amazon EC2 instances.
For developers seeking a fresh start to create tailored deep learning engine builds, Base AMIs are also offered in Ubuntu and Linux. To enhance model training efficiency, the AMIs come equipped with the latest NVIDIA GPU acceleration through pre-installed CUDA and cuDNN drivers, along with the Intel Math Kernel Library (MKL). Additionally, they include various popular Python packages and the Anaconda Platform.
With these AMIs, users can train bespoke models, explore new algorithms, and cultivate new deep learning techniques. There are no additional costs for using the AMIs; users are only billed for the AWS resources necessary to store and run their applications.
Numerous organizations have leveraged these AMIs to rapidly advance their AI applications. In one instance, Matrix Solutions utilizes the AMIs and TensorFlow on AWS to develop and train computer vision algorithms that analyze patient scans for cancer prediction and diagnosis. Similarly, Zocdoc employs the AMIs and TensorFlow to create deep learning algorithms for their mobile app, effectively guiding patients through insurance options and optimizing connections with healthcare providers.
