When it comes to managing application logs, not all logs carry the same level of significance. Some demand immediate analysis, while others are better suited for long-term storage, allowing for future examination if necessary. In this tutorial, I will guide you through three distinct methods to “fork” a single stream of application logs into multiple streams that can be parsed and filtered effectively.

As we approach the upcoming re:Invent 2019, we are thrilled to have a dedicated track focusing on Open Source! There will be numerous engaging sessions on Open Distro for Elasticsearch and its various components, including Alerting, Security, and Performance Analyzer. Don’t miss the chance to join hands-on workshops and discover more about these topics, along with insights on machine learning.

For the very first time, re:Invent 2019 will present dedicated Robotics and Open Source tracks. We are enthusiastic about collaborating closely with the open source community to simplify robotics for everyone. Throughout the event, a variety of content and learning opportunities will be available, focusing on the open source Robot Operating System.

In addition, AWS provides a comprehensive suite of developer tools to facilitate code hosting, building, and deployment of your application or infrastructure on AWS. This includes AWS CodePipeline, which orchestrates continuous integration and deployment; AWS CodeCommit, a fully-managed source control service; and AWS CodeBuild, a fully-managed continuous integration service that compiles source code, runs tests, and produces software packages.

On November 14, during the GitHub Universe 2019 keynote, AWS unveiled four new open-sourced GitHub Actions for Amazon ECS and ECR. These tools empower developers and DevOps engineers to effortlessly establish continuous delivery pipelines within their GitHub repositories, deploying container workloads to Amazon Elastic Container Service.

This year, we are also proud to feature an Open Source track at re:Invent. You can easily find it in the catalog by searching for “OPN.” This track encompasses a wide array of topics ranging from PartiQL to robotics, machine learning, Open Distro for Elasticsearch, BPF, GraphQL, and Kubernetes, among others.

As we expand our engagement with various open source communities, we have been fortunate to collaborate with talented developers, including Dr. Colin Percival, a long-time contributor to FreeBSD known for his work on FreeBSD Update and Portsnap.

If you’re looking to implement Continuous Delivery using Spinnaker on Amazon EKS, we have resources available to help you architect complete end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Spinnaker. This is particularly beneficial for customers who operate microservices-based applications on Amazon EKS.

For HPC cluster administrators, we provide solutions that enable users to swiftly create HPC clusters from a common Windows desktop while ensuring security, isolation, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. This capability is essential for a wider user workflow or an established procedure among HPC users.

Microservices architecture significantly reduces the complexity of application components, yet it introduces a new set of challenges.
