Amazon Web Services (AWS) is excited to announce the successful completion of our recent NHS Data Security and Protection Toolkit (NHS DSPT) assessment audit, achieving a status of Standards Exceeded. The NHS DSPT assessment enables organizations to evaluate their performance against the National Data Guardian’s ten data security standards. All entities participating in this assessment are committed to enhancing their data security measures.
In addition, we are thrilled to unveil the Spring 2025 PCI 3DS compliance package, which has been successfully renewed with an expanded scope that now includes three new AWS services and regions. This renewal reflects our ongoing commitment to maintaining high security standards for payment processing.
We also released a new whitepaper titled “AICPA SOC 2 Compliance Guide on AWS,” which offers comprehensive insights into implementing and sustaining SOC 2-aligned controls using AWS services. This resource is particularly beneficial for cloud architects seeking to align with the AICPA’s Trust Services Criteria. For more information on this topic, check out this other blog post here.
Recently, AWS completed its annual audit with European financial institutions as part of the Collaborative Cloud Audit Group (CCAG). This significant achievement underscores our unwavering focus on security as we support customers transitioning to the cloud. Moreover, our commitment to compliance is further exemplified by the availability of the 2025 ISO and CSA STAR certificates, recently renewed across three additional regions.
In line with our mission to simplify compliance for our customers, we are introducing new regional implementations of the Landing Zone Accelerator on AWS, designed to aid in meeting local regulatory requirements. We understand that translating security and compliance mandates into actionable technical controls can be challenging, and we aim to ease this process.
Furthermore, AWS has successfully renewed its Esquema Nacional de Seguridad (ENS) High certification, ensuring that we continue to meet the rigorous security standards necessary for serving Spanish government entities. This certification is part of our broader strategy to enhance compliance across various sectors.
To assist government agencies in addressing security challenges, we are launching the AWS Zero Trust Accelerator for Government, which promotes advanced security measures beyond traditional perimeter-based models.
