AWS has successfully completed its assessment for 2019 in alignment with the Cloud Computing Compliance Controls Catalog (C5) security and compliance framework. This framework, developed by Germany’s national cybersecurity authority, the Bundesamt für Sicherheit in der Informationstechnik (BSI), serves as a reference standard for cloud security requirements within Germany. By adhering to C5, AWS enables customers in German regions to meet the rigorous local compliance mandates.
This year, AWS has expanded its offerings to include four additional regions: London, Paris, Stockholm, and Singapore. Furthermore, Edge locations have been added in England, France, Germany, Ireland, and Singapore, alongside 30 new services, including:

- Amazon Elastic Container Service for Kubernetes
- Amazon Elasticsearch Service
- Amazon FreeRTOS
- Amazon FSx
- Amazon GuardDuty

- Amazon Translate
- Amazon WorkLink
- AWS Amplify Console
- AWS Backup
- AWS CodeDeploy
- AWS DataSync
- AWS Elemental MediaConnect
- AWS Global Accelerator
- AWS Glue
- AWS IoT Greengrass
- AWS OpsWorks for Chef Automate or AWS OpsWorks for Puppet Enterprise
- AWS Organizations
- AWS Resource Groups
- AWS RoboMaker
- AWS Secrets Manager
- AWS Security Hub
- AWS Server Migration Service
- AWS Serverless Application Repository
- AWS Transfer for SFTP
