Last night marked the beginning of my 2006 speaking engagements with a presentation to the Dot Net Users group in Redmond. It had been over a month since my last public appearance, and I thoroughly enjoyed reconnecting with an audience. During an energetic 90-minute session, I explored all six of our web services in varying detail:
- Amazon E-Commerce Service
- Amazon Historical Pricing
- Alexa Web Information Service
- Alexa Web Search Platform
- Amazon Mechanical Turk
- Amazon Simple Queue Service
We have made significant progress over the past four years, and I anticipate the next four years will be just as thrilling as more developers recognize our services (alongside others) as essential components for their applications.
While I didn’t have a live network connection, I showcased screenshots of several applications:
- TV Mojo
- Associate-O-Matic
- Hive Group Honeycomb
- Live Plasma
I also demonstrated a REST call to ECS:
The audience was fantastic, filled with inquiries, responsive feedback, and very engaged. I find that interactive sessions with the audience are the most enjoyable, and this was no exception. If you attended last night, I appreciate your presence and attention.
Next stops include Las Vegas and Honolulu!
