Shared Services Canada (SSC) serves as the primary IT service provider for the Canadian federal government, offering infrastructure services related to email, data centers, telecommunications, and workplace technology for 43 federal agencies. Currently, SSC operates around 700 data centers that host approximately 14,000 applications. To address future governmental needs, SSC intends to enhance efficiency and expand computing capacity through data center modernization and consolidation, as well as adopting cloud computing from 2017 to 2024.
