I am thrilled to unveil the latest AWS SDK tailored for Java developers. This SDK empowers developers to create robust applications leveraging AWS services. Alongside this release, we have enhanced our AWS Toolkit for Eclipse, enabling developers to efficiently utilize the Eclipse IDE for building dynamic AWS-based Java applications.
The SDK features:
- AWS Java Library: This comprehensive jar file offers a set of user-friendly APIs that simplify the complexities of AWS cloud programming, such as authentication, retries, and error handling. It supports a wide array of current services and their latest features, including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud, Auto Scaling, Amazon CloudWatch, Elastic Load Balancing, Amazon Virtual Private Cloud, Amazon SimpleDB, Amazon Simple Storage Service, Amazon Simple Queue Service, Amazon Relational Database Service, and Amazon Elastic MapReduce. The library will continue to adapt to new features and services as they become available.
- Code Samples: The SDK comes with practical Java examples that illustrate how to build applications utilizing AWS.
- Eclipse Integration: You can seamlessly incorporate the AWS Java SDK into existing projects or create new Java projects based on the SDK with just a few clicks using the AWS Toolkit for Eclipse.
- Documentation: The SDK includes a Getting Started Guide, along with comprehensive reference documentation for both the library and AWS.
This week, I will be attending EclipseCon 2023 in Las Vegas, NV, where I will showcase the Toolkit and SDK, demonstrating how to rapidly build powerful AWS applications in Java using the Eclipse IDE. If you’re attending EclipseCon, be sure to catch my session!
