CEU Universities in Spain Launches Cloud Computing Education Initiative with AWS Educate
In September 2020, CEU University will introduce a Cloud Computing Program in partnership with AWS Educate at three Spanish institutions: Universidad CEU San Pablo (Madrid), Universidad CEU Cardenal Herrera (Valencia), and Universidad Abat Oliba CEU (Barcelona). This pioneering program marks a significant development in Spain’s educational landscape. The announcement was made during a virtual event on May 14.

In March, AWS Educate initiated a global survey aimed at identifying the most pressing challenges educators faced during COVID-19. The survey also sought experienced educators to volunteer for a series of online workshops and webinars. As a result, AWS Educate launched two initiatives in April to enhance remote learning resources: an educator-to-educator (K20) webinar series focused on remote instruction and a “workshops from home” series that provided access to online classes in cloud skills, computer science, robotics, and machine learning. Throughout these resources, educators shared practical tips for transitioning to remote education.
