The inaugural Amazon VGT adventure kicked off in May this year. If you remember, my trusty robotic sidekick experienced a bit of a breakdown after hiding clues across this blog, the Amazon Podcast, and various sections of the Amazon website. Thanks to the relentless efforts of puzzle enthusiasts around the globe, we managed to uncover all the clues, solve nearly all the puzzles, and successfully reassemble our friend, Zippy, during an exhilarating livestream on the Amazon Twitch channel.
We had such a blast with the first quest that we’ve decided to embark on another! Zippy 2.0 is now lighter, stronger, faster, cuter, and more agile than ever. Collaborating once again with our pals at Lone Shark Games, we’ve created a new set of challenges that will demand clever thinking, teamwork, and an unwavering spirit to overcome.
Follow the Orange Brick Path
I instructed Zippy to rendezvous with me in Las Vegas for AWS re:Invent, but I didn’t clarify the route. In true adventurous fashion, Zippy opted for an orange brick path winding west from Seattle. Along the way, Zippy intends to make stops in 15 cities and gather souvenirs to bring to re:Invent.
Zippy will depart Seattle on November 1st, after picking up a token from Amazon’s hometown. The adventure continues on to Sydney, Australia. Each puzzle will be released at aws.amazon.com/vgt at noon in Zippy’s timezone.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help uncover and decode the puzzles and assist Zippy in selecting what to bring to re:Invent. For additional insights, check out this blog post to keep you engaged.
