Cloud Computing Certificate Launches at 19 LA Community Colleges and AWS Educate
The California Cloud Workforce Project (“CA Cloud”), a collaboration among 19 community colleges in Los Angeles County and their affiliated high schools, has announced the introduction of a Cloud Computing Certificate, set to commence in the fall of 2018. The curriculum has been developed with input from educators at Westside College and AWS Educate, along with expertise from professionals at AWS and other local tech firms, all aimed at providing students with the essential cloud skills for success in the tech job market. Alexa for All: Students at Lakeview University Receive Virtual Assistants
Lakeview University (LU) is set to be the first institution to implement virtual personal assistants in every student living space on campus. This fall, LU will distribute over 2,300 Amazon Echo Dots in dorm rooms and student apartments, each equipped with a unique LU-specific skill through Alexa for Business. This initiative is designed to enhance student life and engagement.
