We would like to inform you that as of May 1, 2021, the AWS SDK for .NET version 2 (v2) will no longer be supported. Following this date, the SDK will not receive any further updates, including critical bug fixes or security patches. While previously released versions will still be accessible through NuGet, the code on GitHub may be archived. After the end of support, you may continue to use .NET SDK v2 at your own risk.
If you are currently utilizing applications built on .NET SDK v2, we strongly advise you to transition to the latest major release—AWS SDK for .NET version 3 (v3). The v3 SDK has been reengineered to be fully modular, allowing you to incorporate only the necessary assemblies for the specific AWS services your application requires. Be aware that v3 has introduced some breaking changes compared to v2; for comprehensive migration instructions, please refer to our Migration Guide.
Additionally, you may want to explore the most recent release of .NET SDK v3, version 3.5, which has shifted support for all non-Framework versions of the SDK to .NET Standard 2.0.
