In a recent announcement, we are thrilled to share that longer resource IDs for EBS and Storage Gateway are now available. Last year, we hinted at plans to extend the length of resource IDs for EC2 instances, EBS volumes, and snapshots. Earlier this year, we provided instructions on how to opt into the new format for EC2 instances and reservations. Today marks the day you can opt in to this expanded resource ID format for EBS volumes as well.
