Amazon IXD - VGT2 Las Vegas: Verified Author Badge Now Available in Serverless Application RepositoryMore Info

Since its introduction in February 2018, the AWS Serverless Application Repository (SAR) has evolved into a comprehensive resource for developers looking to access a wide variety of serverless applications and components. This platform enables users to share their applications either privately within their accounts or publicly with a global audience. We are pleased to share that authors on SAR can now request a Verified Author badge, a significant new feature.

The Verified Author badge will appear next to the author’s name on both the application card and the detail page, signaling that AWS has authenticated the identity of the author based on the provided information. This verification adds credibility, allowing potential users to see the author’s verified status. The badge is accessible in all AWS Regions where the SAR service operates.

Once a developer receives approval for the badge, it will automatically be displayed on any new SAR applications published under the same AWS account and author name. Additionally, the badge will persist through new versions of existing applications, eliminating the need for recertification.

Applying for the Verified Author badge is a simple process, typically taking just a few days for AWS to reach a decision. Applicants must include a link to their GitHub profile to facilitate verification. For more detailed instructions on starting your application, you can check out this related blog post here.

You can view an author’s verification status through both the Serverless Application Repository console and the public search feature. To explore more about SAR, visit our product page.
