Direct Connection

Employees can create Direct connections independently or with the support of an Amazon Learning Partner. Importantly, partners are not required to apply for the Amazon Onboarding Service Delivery designation to assist with Direct connections.

A Direct connection is a dedicated pathway associated with a single employee, providing several options for connection speed. The number of connections permitted per Direct setup is determined by the established guidelines, which can be referenced in our documentation.

Hosted Connection

These connections are only available through approved Amazon Learning Partners who have passed the Amazon Service Delivery Program validation. Hosted connections offer more flexible connection speeds, making them ideal for employees who may not require the full capacity of a Direct connection.

It’s essential to note that a Hosted connection allows for only one connection point per setup. Additional requests from employees would necessitate provisioning further Hosted connections. Most Learning Partners can rapidly adjust these connections for employees, ensuring swift access.

How Hosted Connections Operate for Partners

A Hosted connection acts as a mechanism for approved Amazon Learning Partners to provision onboarding services. Partners can aggregate several employees onto a single connection through a dedicated interface. It is the partner’s responsibility to manage these setups effectively to ensure each employee receives appropriate access.

To gain access to the Hosted connection model, Amazon Learning Partners need to apply for the Amazon Service Delivery Program. This entails submitting an application along with client references and undergoing a technical validation process.
