They’ve Arrived – Extended EBS and Storage Gateway Resource IDs Now Available

Last November, I shared that we were preparing to expand the length of resource IDs for EC2 instances, reservations, EBS volumes, and snapshots in 2016. Earlier this year, I demonstrated how to opt into the new format for EC2 instances and reservations. Starting today, you can now choose to utilize these extended resource IDs.

September 8, 2021: Amazon Elasticsearch Service has been rebranded as Amazon OpenSearch Service. This service makes it easy to stream data in the cloud. The Amazon Kinesis platform consists of three unique services: Kinesis Streams for building custom stream processing applications; Kinesis Firehose, which simplifies loading streaming data into AWS services; and Kinesis Data Analytics for real-time analytics.
