Since its inception in February 2018, the AWS Serverless Application Repository (SAR) has evolved into a comprehensive collection of serverless applications and components tailored for developers. This platform enables users to share their creations either privately within their own AWS accounts or publicly with a wider audience. We’re pleased to announce that SAR authors can now apply for a Verified Author badge.
This badge, which appears alongside the author’s name on the application card and detail page, signifies that AWS has vetted the requester’s information and confirmed their identity. Potential users of your SAR applications will be able to see your verified status, adding a layer of trust. The badge is available across all AWS Regions where the SAR service operates.
Once a developer receives approval for the badge, it will automatically be displayed on any subsequent SAR applications published under the same AWS account and author name. Your badge will remain visible even when you release new versions of your applications—there’s no need for recertification.
The application process for the Verified Author badge is designed to be clear and efficient, typically resulting in an approval decision within a few days. To begin, you’ll need to provide a link to your GitHub profile for verification purposes. Start your application process today!
