AWS Digital Training
FutureLearn presents two fundamental cloud courses. Individuals in both technical and non-technical roles can explore two 19-hour foundational courses on FutureLearn, a digital education platform based in London, tailored to meet their career aspirations.
For technical roles, the AWS Cloud Technical Essentials course offers insights on constructing, comparing, and implementing highly available, fault-tolerant, and scalable cloud solutions without requiring prior knowledge of cloud computing or AWS services. For non-technical roles, AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials provides an overview of core AWS services, including compute, networking, databases, and storage, aiding participants in contributing to their organization’s cloud strategies.
Basics of AWS Networking Services for Technical Roles
The AWS Networking Basics course is a concise 90-minute introduction designed for cloud architects, network engineers, and developers. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of AWS networking services and the specific purpose of each networking option.
Two Introductory Courses on AWS Compute
We have released two 40-minute foundational courses about compute for cloud architects, DevOps engineers, and operations staff. The AWS Compute Services Overview course differentiates between three AWS compute options—Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), containers, and serverless technologies—helping learners select the ideal option for their workloads. The AWS Compute EC2 Basics course focuses on Amazon EC2 options, enabling participants to make informed decisions regarding their compute selections.
Updated Primer on Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS)
The Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) Primer is a revised 75-minute intermediate course aimed at cloud architects, developers, and DevOps engineers interested in container management and orchestration using Amazon EKS. It covers how Amazon EKS manages both the Kubernetes control plane and components of the data plane; integrates with other AWS services; considers costs; and monitors applications on EKS clusters. Learners should complete the Introduction to Containers course beforehand.
Auditing Activities in the AWS Cloud
The Getting Started with AWS CloudTrail course is a 60-minute fundamental training for cloud administrators, architects, engineers, security professionals, and AWS Partners. This course introduces how to create governance solutions in AWS, covering CloudTrail architecture, pricing, use cases, and how to utilize the service for audit purposes. Activities include monitoring and authenticating events, identifying security incidents, and leveraging machine learning to detect unusual behavior in AWS accounts.
AWS Classroom Training
Securing Workloads on the AWS Cloud
If you need guidance in establishing a secure posture in the AWS Cloud, consider the AWS Security Best Practices (Customers, Amazonians) and AWS Partner: Security Best Practices (Technical) courses. This one-day intermediate classroom training, led by an AWS instructor, delves into configuration best practices for securing network infrastructure, hardening compute resources, and responding quickly to suspicious activities. Participants will learn to scale securely, automate risk management, and adhere to high standards for privacy and data security. A background in AWS services and information security concepts is recommended, with prerequisites including AWS Security Fundamentals (Second Edition) and AWS Security Essentials. This course also prepares you for the AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification exam.
AWS Partners
Building a Data Warehousing Solution
The AWS Partner: Building Data Analytics Solutions Using Amazon Redshift (Technical) course is a one-day intermediate classroom offering for data warehouse engineers, data platform engineers, and architects. Participants will learn to use Amazon Redshift and how to integrate it with a data lake to enhance analytics and machine learning workflows. This course also covers security, performance, and cost-management best practices. Partners should complete AWS Cloud Practitioner Essentials, AWS Partner: Accreditation (Technical), and AWS Partner: Data Analytics on AWS (Technical) before enrolling.
