In another significant development, Smartsheet, a cloud-based work execution platform, recently announced that Smartsheet Gov has achieved a Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) Provisional Authority to Operate (P-ATO). Built on AWS GovCloud (US), Smartsheet Gov serves as a secure solution for federal agencies, enabling them to organize processes, streamline workflows, and automate critical tasks. The authorization from the Joint Authorization Board (JAB) allows U.S. federal government clients to leverage the Smartsheet Gov platform to enhance their IT missions. “Leveraging AWS GovCloud allows Smartsheet and its government clients to host sensitive data and regulated workloads while adhering to stringent U.S. government security and compliance standards,” mentioned Alex Monroe, Vice President of U.S. Federal Government at AWS.
To foster innovation, federal customers and partners are invited to the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Federal Pop-Up Loft, running from September 4-18 at the Convene meeting space in Rosslyn, Virginia. This temporary community hub aims to unite federal customers and partners, offering an opportunity to learn and innovate collaboratively.
We are also excited to announce the launch of the Authority to Operate (ATO) on AWS program, which provides valuable resources to Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) seeking compliance authorization, including FedRAMP, Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Payment Card Industry (PCI), Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS), and many other compliance frameworks.
