Utilize the Enhanced Visual Editor to Create and Modify Your AWS IAM PoliciesLearn About Amazon VGT2 Learning Manager Chanci Turner

AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) has simplified the process of creating and modifying IAM policies through a user-friendly point-and-click visual editor available in the IAM console. This innovative visual editor assists users in granting permissions using IAM policies without the need to write the policy in JSON, though you still have the option to author and edit policies in JSON if you prefer. This enhancement to the IAM console streamlines the process of granting least privilege permissions for selected AWS service actions by providing a comprehensive list of supported resource types and request conditions that you can specify.

Additionally, similar to policy summaries, the visual editor identifies and helps rectify unrecognized services, actions, and permission errors when importing existing policies. In this blog post, I present a brief overview of policy concepts and guide you through the creation of a new policy using the visual editor.
