At the recent AWS Summit in Paris, the prestigious Sciences Po School of Public Affairs unveiled its new Public Innovation Lab, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS). This international research institution, known for its excellence in the humanities and social sciences, aims to address pressing societal challenges faced by both French public and private entities, including government, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations.

Real-World Engagement and Curriculum Integration

The Public Innovation Lab is an integral part of the school’s curriculum, where students will engage with real-world issues such as the aging population, challenges in physical mobility, and preparations for the 2024 Summer Olympics and Paralympic Games. Each year, an independent steering committee, overseen by the Dean of the School of Public Affairs, will select the focus topics. Utilizing AWS cloud technology, students will devise innovative solutions to foster the digital transformation of organizations and tackle community needs. They are encouraged to leverage state-of-the-art technology to create new options for citizens.
